Gurau has 30 years of technology strategy, operations, and private equity experience
Boston, MA – Altman Solon, the largest global strategy consulting firm focused exclusively on the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) sectors, has hired B2B technology expert Michael Gurau to the position of partner.

Prior to Altman Solon, Gurau led B2B-focused Technology practices for strategy consulting firms serving Fortune 50 clients, spanning compute, storage, networking, and cloud/mobile platform and application services. Clients included leading semiconductor, networking equipment, compute-centric devices/systems, web platforms and applications, software, and social media market leaders.
Gurau led Tech growth strategy practices for Kaiser Associates and Beacon Group, both strategy consulting firms serving Fortune 500 companies. Prior to strategy consulting, Gurau served as the Chief Financial and Development Officer for a PE-backed nanotechnology advanced materials company. Before this, he spent 20 years in venture capital and private equity in the U.S. and Europe. Gurau has a BS Finance from Babson College and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business.
