Altman Solon Promotes Analytics Innovation Practice Leader Diane Leung to Partner

Boston, MA – Altman Solon, the world’s largest strategy consulting firm focused exclusively on the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) sectors, has promoted Diane Leung to Partner. Leung, who is based in the firm’s Boston headquarters, leads the Analytics Innovation (AI) practice, which provides a range of cutting-edge analytic and data strategies for Altman Solon’s TMT and private equity clients.

“Diane has been critical in our efforts to create the most robust and sophisticated Data & Analytics program in the industry, allowing us to develop customized analytics strategies for all of our global TMT clients,” said Altman Solon Managing Partner Rory Altman. “Transforming data into actionable insights has always been a big part of what we do, but the work Diane and the AI team do has enabled us to fully integrate data analysis into our consulting services.”

Under Leung’s direction, the Analytics Innovation practice has completed hundreds of client engagements spanning the full range of data and analytics services, including artificial intelligence & machine learning, data engineering, data visualization & business intelligence, and geospatial analytics & mapping. The combination of technical sophistication with industry expertise in the firm’s key focus areas – including wireless, fiber, cloud, business transformation, IT services, and video – is the differentiating factor for the practice. Leung’s leadership has enabled the firm to infuse deeper and more cutting-edge analytics across a range of projects, including go-to-market strategy, competitive analysis, infrastructure deployment, marketing and sales optimization, and customer value management.

Leung has more than 15 years of consulting and analytics experience, including as a director of Data Science & Analytics at Acxiom. She held multiple positions there and at The Allant Group, acquired by Acxiom, focused on Advanced TV Advertising and Big Data analysis for telecom clients in the media and advertising sectors. Leung also worked at the digital marketing firm Digitas after five years in economic consulting, where she focused on antitrust and litigation analysis primarily for energy clients.

Leung earned a Master’s degree in Marketing Science from Columbia Business School and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College.
