Altman Solon defends its title as the #1 TMT strategy consultancy

Munich – Altman Solon, the largest global strategy advisory firm focused exclusively on Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT), has been confirmed as the leading TMT consultancy firm in a survey published today by CAPITAL, a prominent German business magazine, and conducted by WGMB, a German research institute. Altman Solon has been defending the #1 position since 2012 and again outpaced other global consulting firms like BCG, McKinsey, Bain, and Oliver Wyman.

Altman Solon’s worldwide expertise spans areas across TMT, including 5G, fiber, data centers and cloud, AI, broadcasting, OTT platforms and Pay-TV, publishing, gaming and sports, video distribution, software, eCommerce, cyber security, chipsets, IoT, and more. The company was founded in Munich and has six offices in Europe, five in the Americas, and two in the Asia-Pacific region. Altman Solon supports leading companies and promising challengers as well as private equity, infrastructure, and growth investors.

“TMT strategy consulting is a competitive space, so winning this award for more than a decade is a testament to the great work we deliver to our clients,” said Patrick Bellenbaum, Managing Partner at Altman Solon. “The leading global TMT companies trust our strategic advice and technological expertise in sectors that are constantly experiencing change.”

“Successfully supporting our many corporate and investor clients is only possible due to our great team here in Europe and around the globe,” says Matthias Hamel, Partner at Altman Solon. “Our consultants are outstanding experts and passionate in all our sectors and markets, which enables them to develop strategies that add sustainable value for our clients.”

The German research institute WGMB conducted the survey, and the findings were published in issue 1/24 of CAPITAL. The award honors outstanding but comparatively less known consulting firms for their level of expertise based on a survey of detailed feedback from more than 1000 executives of large German companies.
