Dr. Udo Bauer is a Partner based in Altman Solon’s Munich office. He advises clients across the telecommunications, media, and technology (TMT) sectors, with a special focus on software, IT services, and fiber. Udo supports C-level leaders and investors on large-scale transformations, including commercial excellence initiatives, operating model design, full potential programs, and international expansion strategies.
Prior to joining Altman Solon, Udo spent his career at Bain & Company, where he served as a Partner in the firm’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice. Over more than a decade, he led end-to-end transformation programs for global incumbents and high-growth challengers, helping organizations improve performance, scale new growth engines, and prepare for market entry. He has also supported private equity clients on technology-sector M&A, including commercial due diligence and post-acquisition value creation.
Udo holds a PhD in Technology Management from the University of Regensburg and earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from EBS Universität.
