Matthew Walters

Matthew Walters has more than 15 years of experience in the media and sports sectors. He advises clients on growth strategy, content and format innovation, proposition design and go-to-market strategy, partnership and distribution strategy, operations and media rights valuations. His work also spans regulation and public policy, commercial due diligence, and value creation. 

He began his career at the UK’s media and communications regulator, Ofcom, where he specialized in the early regulation of the digital economy, particularly in relation to online video. He went on to hold roles at London-based consultancies Decipher and Oliver & Ohlbaum Associates, focusing on strategy projects for clients in the media, entertainment, and sports sectors. 

Most recently, Matthew served as a Director in EY-Parthenon’s strategy practice for media, entertainment, and sport, where he led corporate strategy and commercial due diligence work from the London office. At EY, he co-authored flagship international research on the sports sector and was frequently featured as an industry commentator, contributing to trade and news outlets and appearing as a keynote speaker at conferences. 

Matthew holds a BA in History and English Literature from St Chad’s College, University of Durham.
