New York – Altman Solon, the largest global strategy consulting firm focused exclusively on the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) sectors, has hired Media & Entertainment executive Mary Ann Halford as a Partner.   

«Mary Ann brings to Altman Solon extensive experience launching and growing Media & Entertainment companies,” said Altman Solon CFO Steve Conway. “With a deep understanding of the Media sector and consulting, she will play a key role in growing and advising our global media client base.”  

Halford, who is based in the firm’s New York City office, brings over 25 years of experience building businesses in the Media & Entertainment sectors in the United States and internationally, both as an operator and consultant. At Altman Solon, Mary Ann helps clients in both the US and internationally develop and implement new business models, optimize business performance, and create new content and distribution strategies. In addition, she has extensive experience working with private equity firms investing in these sectors.  

Before joining Altman Solon, Halford served as a Senior Advisor to OC&C Strategy Consultants and independently advised numerous global Media clients on implementing new business models and optimizing business performance. Prior to that, she helped lead the development and launch of FTI Consulting’s Media & Entertainment practice, both in the United States and EMEA region. She also served as a Senior Vice President and General manager for ITN Networks, at which she launched the firm’s digital media business, and held several senior executive roles at Fox Entertainment Group, including leading the launch of the platform for the Fox International Channels Group. 

Halford earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Government and Economics from Georgetown University, where she was a George F. Baker Scholar.
